Rio out of Andorra game

United defender Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of England’s World Cup qualifier with Andorra on Saturday evening with a back problem.
Central defender Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out by England boss Fabio Capello at the pre-match news conference ahead of the game at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.
It is expected that the former Leeds and West Ham defender will be fit for the Three Lions’ crunch game against Croatia next week, meaning that there is no reason to risk the Champions League winner against the part-time Andorra team.
“He is the only one in the squad who is not 100 percent fit,” Capello revealed to the press.
“But it is not a serious injury and I think he will be fit to face Croatia next week.”
Ferdinand’s back ailment has prevented him from taking part in any training this week.
